Abstracts & Presentation Guidelines

We look forward to learning more about your important work at Trillium Primary Health Care Research Day on October 17, 2025.

Submit an abstract between April 1, 2025 – September 7, 2025 (instructions below)

You are invited to submit your research for presentation at the 2025 Trillium Primary Health Care Research Day. Acceptance and presentation format will be confirmed by email. Presenters are required to register for the event (registration is free).  There are no virtual presentation options for 2025. Awards are available for best poster and best oral presentations.

Research can be completed or be in progress. Research that has been published is not eligible for submission. The Trillium Program Committee reserves the right to limit each presenter to only one presentation, however, anyone may be listed as a co-author on multiple papers. 

Presentations may be made in oral or poster format. Please indicate your preference as outlined below, however the Trillium Program Committee cannot guarantee your choice of presentation format. Presentation format will be confirmed at the time of abstract acceptance. 

Poster presenters must be in attendance at the event (there is no virtual presentation option), and will be assigned a time to present their poster and answer questions. Presenters are required to submit a PDF of their poster in advance of the event. Printed posters must measure 36 inches high by 56 inches wide.

Oral presenters must be in attendance at the event (there is no virtual presentation option) and will be assigned 10 minutes to present and 5 minutes for questions. Presenters are required to submit a copy of their slides in advance of the event.

Submit your abstract in Word format (not PDF) to: trillium@inspire-phc.org 

Name your Word document using the presenters last name and one or two words to describe the topic area (ex. Lastname_topicarea.doc). Your submission needs to include: 

  • Presentation title 
  • Presenter name, email and affiliation/institution, and if this is a student submission 
  • Co-author(s) name and affiliation/institution 
  • Presentation format preference (oral/poster) 
  • 250 word abstract including the following required headings: 
  1. Background 
  1. Approach 
  1. Results 
  1. Conclusions
