As part of INSPIRE-PHC-OSSU, the Patient Expertise in Research Collaboration (PERC) promotes and supports the meaningful and appropriate engagement of patients in PHC research in Ontario. PERC provides expertise, resources, tools, and methods support to build capacity in patient oriented PHC research. PERC supports researcher partnerships with patients, caregivers, citizens, and communities, to conduct research that addresses patients’ needs, preferences and priorities for their health and health care.
PERC works with TUTOR-PHC to offer an enhanced version of patient partnership in TUTOR-PHC. These fellowships target trainees engaged in activities that contribute to SPOR. PERC also provides capacity building support to relevant OSSU Centres and the Early Career Researcher Community of Practice.
